Scholarships and Studentships

Hello

from the WCDHB Rural Learning Centre

Please come back and visit this page in July/August to see what is on offer for the 2018 West Coast DHB Scholarship and Studentship Programmes.

2017 Scholarship Programme

Certificate Presentation Ceremony

On Friday, 15 December 2017 the West Coast DHB celebrated their Scholarship and Studentship Programmes by presenting Certificates to the students (and whanau) who were able to attend the ceremony. The annual programmes are run to encourage students studying health related careers to engage with the West Coast DHB and to consider becoming part of the future Workforce.

The DHB noted that two local high schools and Tai Poutini Polytechnic noticeably urged students interested in health careers to apply for the Scholarship Programme. This engagement is welcomed and will continue to be supported.

The current students are encouraged to apply for the Scholarship Programme every year of their training programme and to have ongoing connections with the DHB by way of choosing the West Coast DHB for practical placements as part of their programme of study. The WCDHB's Rural Learning Centre can also support students to make professional connections during their years of study.

This year the students who were granted a scholarship of $500.00 as part of the 2017 Scholarship Programme are:
